Back to school: a dream came true !

Sometimes, talking about fulfilled dreams doesn't go far, they are what they are just dreams. However, I have to tell you that a few months ago, what seemed impossible to happen, happened and, last Monday, on September 27, it became a reality. Are you excited? Do you want to know more? Then, you are invited to read this post!

I have always played with my toys, me as the teacher, and my toys as if they were my students in front of me. I could spend hours and hours but, to me, those were like seconds. And here I am!! 3 months ago, on July 26, I received an email with the news that I had been admitted in the Master’s Degree in Teacher Education at the URJC. Since then, I am the happiest girl in the world, seriously!

Well... let's move on to the interesting part of this...what about the experience of this new beginning? To be honest, at the beginning I had mixed feelings. I was in a new university, I didn't know anybody at all... I was completely lost. However, we all shared the same passion: English teaching, so I thought that was the beauty of it!!

First day of class, first subject: Educational innovation and ICTs applied to the English language. After a nice meeting with all my new classmates, things couldn’t be better. I admit it: I’m passionate about technology!!! I think education needs to adapt to the new times, we need a change in our teaching methods, and so do students. Personally, I wrote my TFG based on a practical project with which I tried to assess how scholars could acquire the required knowledge regarding the subject in question by using technology and, as well, I focused on their digital improvement. Therefore, in this first Master class, I was having a blast!!!

I feel that, even if I'm a tech lover, I don't control them enough. I have to learn a lot...in fact, this is my first time creating a website, as well as writing a post!! But no worries... there's always a first time, right? I'm super excited to be here and to know what comes next! I'm sure the person who is writing this right now is going to be extremely different to the one at the end of the course. In a good sense, of course!
