Some days ago, me and my classmate Lourdes we decided to investigate about Quest To Learn.

It is an innovative and public school in New York City which covers from 6 to 12 years old. It seems like a normal school but... it is not! 

Its learning method is gamification what seemed a bit shocking to me at the beginning. However, after reading about it, my vision has totally changed. Students have to solve games as if they were problems without having any resource just by reasoning. This seems quite interesting as well as fascinating.

 

I consider we as students have grown in an educational environment on which all information is given in books but we have not been taught to develop our critical thinking. Why things are like that? What should we do in certain situations? We need more of this! Education needs to change and gamification could be one of the keys for this new teaching/learning.
